Stem summer programs

The STEM Pre-College Program will host its Research Experience Program starting in February through November 2023.  High school juniors and seniors will have the opportunity to be paired with a scientist mentor for an intensive summer research experience where they will be responsible for producing several products related to STEM, the research agenda of their scientist mentor, and engage in multiple events that will showcase their research experience and findings. The application process will open in January 2023. With our rigorous standards, we’ve meticulously curated a list of the best STEM summer programs out there.

Serves youth ages 6 through 18 from across the city. For a low cost, the nationally-acclaimed Club provides members with access to after-school and summer programming oriented around three pillars: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Character & Leadership. Club members have access to tutoring, gym space, teen-specific areas, field trips, career-readiness opportunities and mentoring. ISTEM Sponsored Opportunities The next part is the fun part – shopping! Once you have a detailed plan, it should be pretty clear what items you need to invest in to run an engaging STEM program. First, take inventory of what you already have on hand. If you’re a STEM teacher, you may already have some supplies and just need some refills. If you’re a public librarian running their first STEM camp, you may find you want more comprehensive kits. Every camp is different in its needs!

The Michigan State High School Honors Math, Science, and Engineering Program (HSHSP) is the oldest STEM summer program of its kind. This seven-week research program provides high schoolers with the opportunity to get a taste of campus life while researching topics that interest them.
